Meet Lina, a person behind Studio Japonisme. Having a grandfather who was born and raised in Central Tokyo in the 1930s, she has dreamed of living in the prewar world as a true Edokko (a traditional way of calling Tokyoite) After born in California and raised in two cultures – Japanese and American, a former fashion-design trained mother of two boys, Lina decided that it is time to start a personal project that is very close to her heart and something that she can call a life work.
Lina’s trained eye for details in artisanal crafts – from art, fashion, jewelry, houseware, tools and everything in between, will bring a spark to your own homes and more and will support the great works of Japanese artisans to pass of the crafts for another century to come.
